History~ Lake Shore Corvettes began with a gathering of Corvette owners for a picnic in June of 1967. That year the decision was made to form an all volunteer non-profit club and incorporate. Over the years the Club has increased in membership. Currently, we have around one hundred members, owning 70 cars from 1953 through 2007. Lake Shore is primarily a social organization. We enjoy the camaraderie that the cars bring us. The Corvette has introduced us to many different people. We like to get together for dinners, trips, concerts, parades, and other social events. In the past the Club was active in auto-cross and drag racing and there is some interest in getting back to that. We are also been active in local level contributing money and volunteering services for people in time of need.
We meet at 7:00 PM on the fourth Sunday of each month (excluding December) at the American Legion Post 83, RT 4 (3615 Hayes Ave.) Sandusky, OH. Meetings are open to everyone ~Activities~ Spring & Fall Cruises * Annual Progressive Dinner Social Events ~National
